Our test subject Claire was impressed by the neat packaging that was easy to open and deemed it to be to be one of the quickest and most simple pieces of baby equipment to put together. She took it out to explore the rough terrain and was very pleased with its performance.
Seats
The majority of 3 wheel double buggies begin life as single pushchairs. However, some can convert to take an additional seat or carrycot with adapters (these are usually more common in tandem buggies). You'll also see that some models allow you to include a ride-onboard for older children who want to walk but still need some help.
If you're looking for a lightweight alternative that's ideal for urban streets, look into the Joie Evalite Duo. It's easy to move, and it has an enormous basket that has plenty of storage. It can accommodate twins from at birth and can accommodate two car seats, or a carrycot with seat. However, the seats have to face forwards and there's no space to store a bag of groceries underneath, so you'll need a sidepack for this.
Mountain Buggy Duet will be an ideal choice when you love off-roading. It's a side-byside model with the smallest footprint of any double buggy available on the market. It's much easier to get through narrow doors as well as on public transport. It is also able to climb up and over kerbs. The adjustable handlebar comes with an integrated handbrake to increase safety and security.

Suspension
The quality of the suspension on a 3-wheel double buggy is essential to how it is easy for you and your baby/s to push. It is important to have a smooth ride, as babies can feel every bump in the road. This is particularly true if you are driving on rough terrain such as grass or roads that aren't paved. Certain models also have locking front wheels to help with maneuvering and getting over obstacles such as curbs.
Some models use air-filled tyres, which provide a fantastic all-terrain experience, but they can be prone to punctures, therefore, make sure you have a spare set in the trunk. Some models have gel or foam tyres, which are designed to withstand bumps and can be less prone to punctures but you might find them to be a bit stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back when you decide to jog.

MFM reviewer Kath put the Urban Glide 2 through its trials with her newborn and 3 year old, and found that it performed admirably on difficult terrains: "it navigated effortlessly over bumpy pavements and grass cobbles, dirt tracks and cobbles effortlessly and was easy to manoeuvre around corners and climb up and down kerbs. The 16" rear wheels, when combined with the lockable swivel wheels on the front, create an extremely comfortable jogging experience. Folding

If you're looking to jog with your kids this is the ideal double buggie for jogging because it has a lockable front wheel that will help you keep your balance when tackling hilly or off-road tracks. It comes with a huge undercarriage, a movable handlebar, and soft suspension for the most comfortable ride.
It's a light and compact option that can be folded with one hand and is ideal for travel. It is compatible with many infant car seats and has a handy undercarriage basket to store your shopping.
